Obituary: Zanesville Signal, July 29, 1956
Mrs. Georgia Colburn, 55, wife of Joseph Colburn of Roseville, died at noon Saturday at her home after a lingering illness.
Mrs. Colburn was a native of McLuney and was the daughter of Mrs. Deliah Coon Bateson of Crooksville Route 2 and the late Charles Bateson.
She was a former employe of the Tycer Pottery Company at Roseville and attended the Iliff Methodist Church.
Surviving are her husband, Joseph; two sons, Neil Robert, Jr. of Crooksville; and James Roberts of Owens Hill; two daughters, Mrs. Kathryn Russell of Crooksville and Mrs. Maxine Sprouse of 974 Linden avenue; her mother; four sisters, Mrs. Victor Brown of Columbus, Mrs. Doris Weller and Mrs. Alex Parker both of Crooksville Route 2 and Mrs. Wilbur Riley of Crooksville; a brother, Clarence Bateson of Crooksville Route 2, and 10 grandchildren.
The body was removed to the Cannon and Cannon Funeral Home in Roseville where friends may call after noon today.
