Husband of Eliza Maria Dewey 1831-1922 (married 1850 Portage, OH). She was the dau of Eliakim Dewey and Phebe Whipple. On August 20, 1866 they homesteaded near Liberty, NE and remained there the rest of their lives. Committed followers of the Baptist faith. Through their generousity they made possible the parsonage for the Baptist church at Liberty, NE. Eliza's obituary states Henry died in March 1888 and was buried in Mount Pleasant Cememtery near Lewisville, NE.
