Douglas "Doug" Mathew Clark was born to Arthur Lee and Joyce Mathews Clark on Nov 08,1954 in Montezuma, GA. Doug enjoyed and excelled in academic study and competitive swimming.

Doug graduated from William Jennings Bryan College in Dayton, TN, where he met his wife, Patricia "Tricia" Ann Poland. During his college years, Doug began to love the gospel in fresh ways. He was a diligent, hard-working, intelligent businessman. Early in adulthood, he learned the industrial energy management controls business from his father.

Throughout Doug's adult life, he was an influential figure in the church. He was an elder in the Orthodox Presbyterian Church in Matthews, NC for 25 years. He served the church tirelessly with warm compassion and Godly wisdom.
Doug was a devoted son, brother, husband, father, church leader, business partner, friend and servant of God.

Doug is survived by his mother, Joyce Mathews Miller, his beloved wife, Patricia Poland Clark, and three children with their spouses: Justin and Kelly Clark, Jennifer and Calvin DeBoer, and Jordan and Katelyn Clark. He is also survived by his sisters, Teresa Clark Hensley and Sandra Lynn Clark, his step-mother, Melissa Clark and step-sisters, Nicole and Erica Clark. Doug is also survived by six grandchildren and a niece and six nephews.
