Ansel C. Gladden, Who Died Sunday Morning, is Buried in Cleveland County;
Funeral services were held yesterday afternoon at the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, in Cleveland County, North Carolina, for Ansel C. Gladden, 67-year-old farmer, of the Buffalo Community, who died Sunday morning at his home after a month's illness. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge at Fallston, N.C., and that organization had charge of the burial, which was conducted by the Shuford-Hatcher Company, Gaffney funeral directors. Mr. Gladden had lived in the Buffalo Community for the past 10 to 15 years. He was a member of the Buffalo Baptist Church, and held a high place in the regard of his neighbors and friends. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Lee Anna Gladden, and seven children, as follows: Mrs. Maggie Hogue and Mrs. Minnie Huffstetler, of Buffalo; Frank Gladden, of Spartanburg; Mrs. Faye Glenn, Dallas, N.C.; Will Gladden, Toluca, N. C.; Grady Gladden, Buffalo; and Mrs. Mary Grigg, Charlotte. Two sisters, Mrs. Mike Smith of Bellwood, N. C., and Mrs. Plonk Ledford of Lawndale, N. C., also survive, together with the following half-sisters and half-brother: Mrs. Mollie Parham, Kannapolis, N. C., Mrs. Lucinda Smith, Waco, N. C.; Mrs. John A Wright, Shelby, N.C., and D. L. Wallace, Shelby, N. C.
