Edith J. Ahlen, 95, a resident of the Gilman Nursing Home, formerly of Onarga, died at 5 p.m. yesterday (April 14, 1990) at the nursing home.
Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Knapp Funeral Home, Onarga, the Rev. Thomas Logsdon officiating. Burial will be in Onarga Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
She was born July 18, 1894, in Onarga, a daughter of Henry and Julia Miller Holmes. She married Arthur J. Ahlen Dec. 6, 1916, in Onarga. He died Nov. 25, 1973.
Surviving are one daughter, Judith Brown, Onarga; one son, Harold, Watseka; five grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and numerous stepgreat-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers.
Mrs. Ahlen was a member of United Methodist Church of Onarga, Rebekah Lodge of Gilman and Onarga Woman's Club.
