Victorville resident James V. "Lucky" Ayers, 66, passed away at St. Mary Medical Center in Apple Valley. Born in Columbia, South Carolina, James was a 14 year resident of San Bernardino County and seved in the U.S. Air Force. He was a truck driver for 42 years, working for various companies, including Willig Freight Lines and Consolidated Freight Ways. James was a member of the Victorville Masonic Lodge No. 634, the Apple Valley Shrine Club, Past Reflections Car Club and Harley Owners Club. He was preceded in death by his mother, Everlena Ayers. James is survived by his wife, Cathy Ayers; children, Jimmy, Terrie, Billy and Ricky Ayers of South Carolina and Danny Ayers and Tonya MacDonald of California; grandchildren, Jennifer, Billy and Jaime of South Carolina and Audra MacDonald of California; brother, Butch Ayers and sister, Kay Bundrick.
