Worked for the railroad as a dishwasher and then as a cook. He developed a talent for cooking and in 1966 he and his wife Carmen opened the original Carmelita's Restaurant. THey were in the restaurant business for 50 years. Angel, as he was called, lived in the High Desert for 74 years. For the last 17 years, he lived on his beloved ranch tending to his chickens, rabbits, pigs and goats. Leaves behind his sons, the Rev. Edward Angel, the Rev. David Angel and step-son Raul Campos along with numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. He leaves behind a legacy of love.
