John R. Bowlin, age 69, passed away at his home near Ashville, following an illness of several months.
He had resided in St. Clair County all his life. Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Lucy W. Bowlin, 4 sons E. L., A. V., Truman of Ashville and J. J. Bowlin of Steele; 3 daughters, Mrs. Ether Jones, Steele, Mrs. Rondon O'Donnell, Ashville, Mrs. Louise Brothers, Boaz; 2 sisters and 3 brothers, 25 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at Friendship Baptist Church with burial in adjoining cemetery.
