Mrs. Sue W. Carroll, 76, 1060 Highway 91, Elizabethton went home to be with her Lord Friday, July 9, 2010 at the Pine Ridge Care Center following an extended illness. A native of Carter County, she was the daughter of the late Hunter H. and Edna Virginia Holly Williams. Mrs. Carroll was a graduate of Elizabethton High School and had been a clerk at Jacklyn's Hallmark in Elizabethton. She was a member of Union Hill Freewill Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Bradley Deal. Survivors include her husband, James D. Carroll, of the home; a sister, Annette Berry, Elizabethton and special friends, Paul and Geraldine Pierce, Elizabethton. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
The committal and entombment service for Mrs. Sue W. Carroll will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Monday, July 12, 2010 in the Mausoleum of Peace of Happy Valley Memorial Park with Rev. Roger Hayley officiating. Active pallbearers will be deacons and trustees of Union Hill Freewill Baptist Church. Honorary pallbearers will be her church family and her friends. Everyone will meet at the cemetery at 1:50 P.M. on Monday for the service. The family will receive friends at the residence at any time.
