Julia Augusta Bachand, Born in Bayfield in 1858, Passed Away Suddenly At Her Home Last Saturday Evening.
Death visited Bayfield twice during the present week and has taken two of its pioneer residents.
Saturday night at eleven o' clock, Mrs. Julia Augusta Bachand, wife of Mr. Louis Bachand, passed away at her home on Broad street from an attack of heart disease, her illness being of only fifteen minutes duration.
Deceased was born in Bayfield on the 22nd day of June, 1858 being a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Bono (deceased), pioneer residents of Bayfield. At the age of 23 years Julia Augusta Bono was united in marriage to Mr. Louis Bachand and has resided in Bayfield all of her life. Four children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Bachand, two of whom still live, these being Albert Louis Bachand, of Washburn, and Mrs. Archie Herrick, of Portland, Oregon.
Funeral services were held Wednesday morning in Holy Family Church, Rev. Fr. Dunnigan Officiating, and interment was made in Calvary Cemetery.
Of a quiet, retiring disposition, deceased was an ideal wife and mother, and numbered mong her friends scores of acquaintances.
