She was born July 8, 1897, in Nelson County, a daughter of Alex and Rose Fitzgerald Puckett.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Beulah Kirby of Afton and Mrs. Catherine Maupin of Jersey City, N. J.; three sons, John Ernest Thompson of Crozet, William Riley Thompson of Whitehall and Jesse Thompson of Mitchells River; two stepchildren, Mrs. Arnie Baber and Hyden Thompson, both of Waynesboro; 17 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of the Anderson Funeral Home, with interment in Wintergreen Church cemetery. Bishop Robert W. Wood will conduct the service.
Fannie Lee Puckett was married to Henry Nicholas Thompson on Aug. 24, 1919 in Nelson County. She was the daughter of Alexander Puckett and Rosetta Fitzgerald.
