CAMBRIDGE SPRINGS - Kathleen Lavere Hefner Benson, 83, formerly of Cambridge Springs and Meadville, passed away peacefully Friday, Oct. 12, 2007, at Crawford County Care Center, Saegertown, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Alton, W. Va., on May 8, 1924, daughter of the late Evan Daniel and Annie Lona Cutright Hefner. Kathleen married Louis Benson Feb. 16, 1945.

She loved bingo, doing puzzles, and many activities at the home.

Kathleen was a homemaker and worked at Isaly's in Conneaut Lake and the Holiday Inn in Meadville.

Louis preceded her in death on Dec.12, 2000. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Avan, Jane and Isabelle, and a grandson Mark Benson.

Glunt Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Private interment will take place at Edinboro Cemetery.
