Ivan Billingsley

Ivan Ray Billingsley, 88, of 310 Livingston St., died at 7 a.m. yesterday at his residence. He had been ill.
His funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury, the Rev. David Deal officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery.
Visitation will be an hour before the services at the funeral home.
He was born Oct. 28, 1894, at Summer Shade, Ky., a son of William Thomas and Rhoda Chapman Billingsley. He married Mabel Hines March 19, 1937, at Kentland, Ind. She survives.
Also Surviving are three daughters, Joy Bose, Fairbury; Carol Sue Doran, of Washington state; and Mary Ann Babbs, Forrest; two sons, James Ray and William Thomas, both of Fairbury; a brother, Jack, Fairbury; three sisters, Delsie Sherfey, Roberts; Mildred Zimmerman, Fairbury; and Muriel Wilson, Chenoa; 14 grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
A son preceded him in death.
Mr. Billingsley retired in 1962 after 30 years with Livingston County Highway Department.
He was a member of Fairbury United Methodist Church and spent his adult life in the Fairbury - Cropsey area.
