Albertson – Lula Gertrude Albertson, 90, Salem, died at 4:45 p.m. Monday, Jan. 28, 2002, at Meadow View Health and Rehabilitation Center in Salem. She was a member of the Borden Church of Christ and the Pekin Senior Citizens. She was a former cook at the East Washington School Corporation. She was born Sep. 30, 1911, at Borden, to Elba and Zena Owens Jackson. On Aug. 15, 1936, she married Woodrow M. Albertson, who preceded her in death on July 15, 1998. A brother and a daughter also preceded her in death. Survivors include four sons, Lowell E. Albertson, Morristown, Ind., Keith E. Albertson and Michael N. Albertson, both of Salem, and Ronald E. Albertson, Jeffersonville; a daughter, Carolyn Hobson, Pekin; a sister, Wilma Coats, Pekin,; 12 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. Visitation is set for after 10 a.m. Thursday at Hughes-Taylor Funeral Home in Salem. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with Bro. John Denny officiating. Burial will follow in Swayback Cemetery, Borden.
