Thelma Roberteen Beaty Ahee of Unionville, Iowa, passed away June 29, 2009, at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines.

She was born Sept. 11, 1927, to Lloyd and Marguarite Beaty near Iconium. Roberteen married Don Ahee July 19, 1944, in Norfolk, Va.

Roberteen attended Moravia schools through tenth grade and graduated from Marshalltown High School. She farmed with her husband in Appanoose County and was a cook in Blakesburg restaurants. Roberteen was a member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church and the Unionville American Legion Auxiliary.

Roberteen is survived by a son, David (Lora) Ahee of Calhoun, La.; and two daughters, Janet Morris of Fairfield and Donna (Allan) Ahee of Solon; 11 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren; one sister, Kathyryn Butler of Marshalltown, and one brother, Sam Beaty of Creston.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two sons, Mike and Rick; one sister, Carol Farr, and one brother, Dennis Beaty.

Services will be held at Knedler Funeral Home in Blakesburg at 11 a.m. Friday, July 3, with interment in the Unionville Cemetery.
