Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Hagi Funeral Home, Streator, with the Rev. Gretchen Stinebaugh officiating. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Cornell Cemetery.
Mr. Earp was born Jan. 20, 1911, in rural Cornell, the son of Elmer and Bessie Cox Earp. He married Madeline Morris on Jan. 2, 1936, in Ottawa. She preceded him in death May 15, 2006.
Glenn had been employed through the years at the Joliet Arsenal; Libby-Owens Ford, Ottawa; the Seneca Ship Yards; DuPont Chemical; and was well known in the area as a trapper and fur buyer. He served as mayor of Cornell; was a former school board member; and a trustee for the Amity Township Cemetery. He attended rural Cornell grade schools and was a graduate of Cornell High School.
He is survived by one daughter, Karen (Fred) Ifft, Fairbury; one son, Kenneth Earp, Cornell; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one sister, Eugene Wood, Kankakee.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; two sons, Norman and Gary Earp; one sister, Evelyn Benckendorf; and one brother, Cloyd Earp.
Pallbearers will be Brian, Kyle and Randall Ifft; Christopher Earp; Greg Johnson; and Joe Grant.
