TIVY AHERN
Tivy Ahern, 85, a farmer of near Plevna, died Friday, Sept. 14, 1973 at Blessing Hospital in Quincy where he had been since Sept. 11. He had spent all his life in the Plevna community with the exception of two years in eastern Colorado.
Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Hudson-Rimer Funeral Chapel in Edina.
Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Ralph (Nancy) Klocke of south of Knox City; two sons, William Caryll Ahern of Plevna, and John Leslie Ahern of Shelbyville; eleven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Bertie Newkirk of Moberly and Mrs. Connie Harland of Shelbina.
His parents preceded him in death.
A son of William Bell and Nancy (Branic) Ahern, he was born Mar. 5, 1888 in Knox County. He was married in Plevna on Jan. 26, 1911 to Constance Frances Smith.
Mr. Ahern was a member of Bethel Lodge No. 537 A.F. & A.M. and the Plevna Christian Church.
