Mr. Gerald E. “Uncle Jerry” Acton a lifetime resident of Port Jervis, NY died Sunday, August 9, 2015 at St. Joseph's Place, Port Jervis. He was 80.
He was born June 11, 1935 in Port Jervis, NY the son of the late Walter Acton, Sr. and the late Louise Decker Acton.
Jerry worked in the Maintenance Dept for C & D Technologies in Huguenot, NY.
He was a life member and 60 year member of the Howard Wheat Engine Company #4, Port Jervis, NY.
A family statement read: He was loved by many and always know as "Uncle Jerry". His greatest passion was being a fireman. In his younger days he enjoyed playing shuffle board and horse shoes with his fellow firemen.

Sister: Betty Finch & her husband Herbert
Brother-in-law: William Finch
Sister-in-law: Ann Acton
Nephew and caregiver: Vincent Kalin, Jr.
