ARENBURG, Margaret Lucille
July 20, 1916 July 19, 2013 passed away peacefully at Edinburgh Hall, Parkland Estates, Truro. Born at West Northfield, Lunenburg County to Pearlie Wilson and Flossie Blanche (Zinck) Veinotte. She grew up on a small farm, attended a one room school at West Northfield and high school in Bridgewater. She married and moved to Truro with her husband 1941. She was a dedicated homemaker and mother. Marg and husband, Laird travelled extensively and enjoyed many days at their cottage at Lake Mush-a-Mush following retirement. She enjoyed sewing and was an accomplished seamstress, loved playing cards, especially bridge and thrived on being with other people. She was a dedicated member of St. John's Anglican Church for many years, serving on many committees, church auxiliary, and fund raising activities. She was Past Worthy Matron of Myrtle Chapter, OES and was honored with her sixty year jewel. She was a long serving member of Isgonish Chapter IODE for 53 years and worked many hours on behalf of Colchester East Hants Regional Hospital. She always maintained close ties with her family in Lunenburg County. She is survived by her son David (Marlene), Truro, grandchildren Christa, Trevor, Colin, Heidi and Josh; great-grandchildren Rebecca, Christopher, Courtney, Kyle, Kalum, Conner, Sheridan, Ian, Owen, Nicholas, David, Murray and Ann Margaret. She was predeceased by her only daughter, Judith Elizabeth Campbell, son-in-law Graham Campbell, husband of sixty-two years, Laird, brothers Clarence, William, Ervin, Lester and Elwood in infancy. Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 23rd from 7 9 p.m., beginning with an Order of the Eastern Star Service at 6:45 p.m. in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow St., Truro. A Funeral service will be held Wednesday, July 24th at 2:30 p.m. at St. John's Anglican Church, 23 Church St., Truro with Rev. Gary Yetman officiating, assisted by her niece, Rev. Catherine Robar. Interment will be in Terrace Hill Cemetery, Kaulback St., Truro. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Colchester East Hants Health Centre or to St. John's Anglican Church, Truro.
