Mrs. Arthie Acklin, 75, formerly of Norfork, passed away Monday, June 20, 2005 in Springfield, Missouri. Visitation will be 6-8pm Wednesday at Roller Funeral Home. A funeral service will be 2:00 PM Thursday at Lone Rock Church of Christ with Brother Carl Beavers officiating. Interment will be in Burnt Schoolhouse Cemetery.
Mrs. Acklin was born to Edward and Nora (Beavers) Mead on July 24, 1929 at Advance, Arkansas and married Hershel Acklin on November 19, 1943 at Culp, Arkansas. She is survived by a daughter, Bonnie Harber of Buffalo, Missouri; sons Louie L. Acklin and Terry N. Acklin of Norfork; 5 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents Andrew J. and Miranda (Hulsey) Mead; husband Hershel; son Lonnie; and grandson Anthony. (Roller Funeral Home)
