Margaret "Margie" O'Connor Bradler was my Grandmother. She was the eldest child of Denis & Viora (nee Carrick) O'Connor. She had a brother, Denis "Buster" O'Connor. Margie's parents died about two years apart from each other, both at age 37. Margie and "Buster" were just teenagers. She & Buster then went to live with their Grandmother, Minnie Carrick. Later they lived with their Aunt Laura (their Mother's Sister) and Uncle Jimmy Morris. Margie watched over her brother, "Buster" throughout his life. Margie married Robert "Robbie" Bradler. She was the Mother of James, Denise (died age 2), Robert Jr., Thomas, Denis, Peggy & John (stillborn). Margie had a beautiful voice and loved to sing. Her favorite song to sing was "Stormy Weather." When the family got together everyone took turns singing. She was proud of being Irish and in turn made me proud of it. Margie spent her entire life in NY. She was a hard worker. She worked at the Majestic Theatre & Carnegie Hall for many years. She and Robbie were married for over 40 years. At the time of her passing she had 7 grandchildren. She always gave my brother and I a gift whenever we saw her. Margie was a very strong woman and is very much loved & missed.
