She was born Oct. 2, 1916, in Melrose, N.M. She moved to Tolleson in 1941 with her husband, Denny, and their children. She worked in vegetable sheds in Tolleson. They moved to Cashion in 1958. She worked at Arizona Citrus Growers of Phoenix for 10 years and as a teacher's aide at Littleton Elementary School for nine years. She was a member of the Tolleson Assembly of God for 60 years.
She is survived by three daughters, Lavoy Moorhead of Tolleson, Carol of Glendale and Jolene Quillen; one son, Art; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation is 9 a.m. Wednesday at Crystal Rose Funeral Home, 9155 W. Van Buren St. in Tolleson. Services will begin at 11. Interment will follow at Resthaven Park Cemetery in Glendale
