Birth: Nov. 7, 1847
Kalamazoo County
Michigan, USA
Death: Jan. 20, 1896
Cookeville
Putnam County
Tennessee, USA

My gg grandmother, Edna, died in Cookeville, but we have been unable to find her place of burial. Her husband, John L. Avery died in MI. Her obituary which was printed in Michigan, states she was buried in the sunny south. She was visiting her daughter and her daughter's husband in Cookeville, TN. We believe she died of consumption. Her son-in-law was Dr. Walter S. McClain, and he, his wife, Minnie Avery-McClain are buried at Cookeville Cemetery in Cookeville, TN. But since records have been destroyed from 1896, we are unable to find out where she is buried.
