Bailey Jean Black Sr., 73, was an aeronautical engineer with Warner Robins Air Force Base in Warner Robins, Ga., for 30 years. He served in the U.S. Air Force and was in the Civil Service during the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He was a member of Bear Creek Baptist Church and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He was the son of Grover Cleveland Black and Viola Pauline Netherland Black and grew up in McCool. He is survived by two sons, Bailey Jean Black Jr. of Mt. Pleasant, Iowa, and Gregory Leonard Black of Kissimmee, Fla.; two grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
Honorary pallbearers were J.D. Milner, Robert Frazier, Carroll Kelly, Earl Hackler, Earl Blaine, Ed Mayfield, Wilbur Brunt and Lee Hughes. Memorials may be made to Bear Creek Baptist Church or its cemetery fund.
