Florence Lucille Wiemers Gray, born Sept. 21, 1916, in rural Medina County, died
Mar. 10, 2002, at the age of 85 years. She married George Lee Gray on Jan. 19,
1935, in Bandera. Through the years she was a faithful member of the United
Methodist Church, working with the United Methodist Women and singing in the
choirs of the Bandera and Hondo United Methodist Churches. She was also a member
of the Dietert Claim Choir of Kerrville, where she managed the Hill Country
Apartments. She was preceded in death by her husband; infant daughter, Ethel
Ann; parents, Johnny and Annie Wiemers; and brothers, Charles and Leroy Wiemers.
Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Helen Marie and Wesley Robbins
of Guymon, Okla., Carolyn Sue and Arlen Graff of Hondo; six grandchildren and
spouses, Guy Wes and Barb Robbins of Guymon, Okla., Mark and Terry Robbins of
Cedar Park, Sharon Robbins of Miami, Okla., Bill and Lynn Robbins of Guymon,
Okla., Beverly and Richard Seals of Victoria, Neil and Stacy Graff of Dripping
Springs; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Leora Castleberry and husband C.K.;
brother, Claude Wiemers and wife Rose of Thicket; numerous nieces and nephews
and many friends.
