WINCHESTER - David B. Avery Jr., 51, South Road, died Friday, May 15, 1987, at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital.
Born in Winsted, Oct. 10,1935, he was a son of David B. Avery and the late Gertrude White Avery and was a lifelong resident of Winchester. Mr. Avery attended local grammer schools, was a graduate of Gilbert High School and was an Army veteran. He had been employed at the Torrington Co. as a maintenance technician.
A private graveside service will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at Winchester Center Cemetery with the Rev. Karl Duetzmann officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to Winchester Congregational Church Memorial Fund and/or to the Winchester Grange.
