John J. Barlow Jr., 70, of 505 N. 13th Ave., died August 8, 1991, at Humana Hospital Dodge City.
Born May 26, 1921, at Bronxville, N.Y., the son of John Joseph and Florence (Vail) Barlow, he was raised in New York. An independent television and radio repairman, he was a Dodge City resident since the mid-1940's.
He was a member of the First Christian Church, the Win-a-Couple Sunday school class, Keenagers, Howard Gotchall Post No. 1714, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Disabled American Veterans, Area Association of Retired Persons, Railroad Club, Retired Senior Volunteer Progam, and Ford County Historical Society, all of Dodge City.He assisted with the Boy Scouts of America Troop No. 167, Dodge City. He served in the U.S. Army from 1942-1944.
Survivors include a sister, Ida Johnson, Lake Placid, Fla.
Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Maple Grove Cemetery, Evan Horner officiating, with military graveside rites with Howard Gotchall Post No. 1714 VFW.
Friends may call until 5 p.m. today at the funeral home. The family suggests memorials to BSA Troop No. 167, Dodge City.
