Mrs. John Barlow
Mrs. Florence Barlow, 83, a former Fort Dodge resident, of 1904 Thirteenth Ave., died Sunday in Dodge City Manor. She was born Jan. 15, 1892, in New York City.
She grew up in that city. She and John J. Barlow were married May 20, 1920, in Jackson county, MO. They lived in Westchester county, N.Y., until 1958 when they came to Fort Dodge. Mr. Barlow died Feb. 11, 1966. Mrs. Barlow continued to live at Fort Dodge until she moved in 1973 to Dodge City.
She was a member of the Bible Baptist Church, the VFW Auxiliary and the Veterans of World War I Auxiliary.
Survivors include a son, John J. Barlow of Dodge City; a daughter, Mrs. Ida C. Johnson of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; and two grandchildren.
The funeral has been set for 10 a.m. Wednesday in the chapel of the Hulpieu-Swaim Funeral Home with William R. Wambsganss, minister, officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery. Family members suggested memorial contributions to the Cancer Fund, in care of the First National Bank.
