Emerson Bailar, St. Paris

Emerson Bailar, 83 of N Elm Tree Conover, died at 6:50 Wednesday at Piqua Memorial Hospital, where he had been a patient for one week.

Bailar, was born in Champaign County Sept. 30,1893, a son of Cory and Jennie Putnam Bailar and lived in Champaign County all of his life. He was a farmer and a member of the Rosewood United Methodist Church.

Survivors include one son, Willis Bailor of Conover; two daughters, Mrs. Wayne Hanselman, (Bernadine) of Johnson City, Tenn., Mrs. Paul Jenkins (Betty) of Conover; one sister, Mrs. Faye Moore of Degraff; seven grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.His wife the former Nellie Smith died in 1974. One brother and one sister are deceased.

The Baker-Cisco Funeral Home, St Paris is in charge of arrangements. Calling hours are from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday with the Rev. Dan Dennis pastor of Rosewood United Methodist Church, officiating.

Burial will be in Cedar Point, Pasco. Contributions may be made to the Rosewood United Methodist Church Memorial Fund.
