Beauford Adams, 69, of rural Ashley, entered rest at his residence on Saturday, October 26, 1996 at 8:03 a.m.
Born December 25 1926 in Heber Springs, Arkansas, he was the son of Odell and Opal (Clark) Adams. He was united in marriage to Shirley Vance on July 7, 1951 at Piggott, Arkansas and she survives.
Also surviving are his stepmother, May Adams of New Minden; three sons, Larry and wife Diane of Belleville, Robert, and Kevin and wife Lisa, all of Ashley; one daughter, Deborah Heinrichsmeyer of Trenton; one brother, James and wife Ann of Arkansas; two sisters, Wilma Holtz and husband Elmer of California and Alice Horner of St. Louis, Missouri; eleven grandchildren; one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by a brother, Wayne, and his parents.
A veteran of World War II, he served in the United States Army. He was a self employed truck driver until his retirement in 1991. He was a member of the Faith Fellowship Church, Okawville, the John C. Atchison Post No. 110, American Legion, Nashville, and was a charter member of the Addieville Community Club.
Funeral services were held at the Campagna Funeral Home, Nashville, Tuesday, at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Ron Porter officiated. Interment was in the Beaucoup Cemetery. Military rites were accorded by the John C. Atchison Post no. 110, American Legion, Nashville.
