Angelina Brenna was born in San Fele, Italy in 1876. She emigrated to the United States with her husband Joseph on May 8, 1901 from Naples, Italy aboard the S.S Maritta along with her infant son, Frank. Residing in the Bronx, New York, she raised 7 children, Rose, Mildred, Frank, Victor, Nicholas, Marie and Joseph. During the 1918 Spanish flu pandemic, Angelina took in destitute children until city authorities could make better arrangements. Angelina was a deeply religious woman deeply devoted to her children. Without her and my grandfather's perseverance and sacrifice our family would not exist today. She passed away from natural causes at Fordham Hospital on March 24, 1953 at the age of 75.
