Manuela M. Arce, 85, passed away on Tuesday, November 25, 2008. She was a longtime resident of El Paso, TX. She worked for Providence Memorial Hospital as a housekeeper for many years. Her evenings were often spent reading novels and tending to her pets in her earlier years. Manuela is preceded in death by her husband Manuel M. Arce; son Jose M. Arce; sister Anita Leah and brother Fidencio Melendez. She is survived by her loving son Ricardo Alberto Arce; daughter Rose Esther Duenez; brothers Miguel, David and Arnulfo Melendez; sisters Rafaela Lozano, Luz Pena, Maria Ortiz, Carlota Rodriguez and Ofelia Lucio; seven grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Visitation for Mrs. Arce will be held Friday, November 28, 2008 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a rosary at 6:30 p.m. at San Jose Funeral Home-East. Mass of Resurrection will be Saturday, November 29, 2008 at 9:00 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church located at 10970 Bywood Dr. Interment will follow at Evergreen East Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mark, Anthony, Adrian John and Roberto Duenez and Jose Manuel and Alberto Arce.
