For every birthday I had (35+ years ago now), she planned on buying me a drum to add to a kit. We later learned (and she knew all along) that it was to annoy my Father (see Matthew).
Instead, guitar prevailed, yet this fine woman, Nurse, and Korea war Veteran was short in stature, and was certainly taller than the liberty statue as we know it.
She was accepted into the military and lived life with one kidney.
