He was born May 26, 1926 in Fremont, Utah, a son of Owen and Nola Ellett Albrecht.
He attended schools in Wayne County and graduated from Wayne High School, Class of 1944. He served his country in the Merchant Marines and the United States Army during World War II.
Bud was owner and operator of A & W Distributing in Richfield for over 45 years, selling gasoline, diesel fuel, oil and tires, wholesale, to various merchants in the area. He also owned three services stations in Richfield and one in Salina.
Bud was a member of the LDS Church, where he served as a Home Teacher and a Scout Leader. He was a member of the Richfield Riding Club, the Lions Club and a member of the Chamber of Commerce.
Bud enjoyed trap shooting, hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, riding his 4-wheeler and any outdoor activity.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Owen Albrecht, Nola and Vern Ernstsen; a brother, Wesley Sherwin Albrecht and a sister, Margaret Albrecht.
