She raised her two children single-handedly and at the age of 50, she went back to finish her education. She graduated and became a teacher and was really a good one. I can still remember her teaching me to read "hippopotamus" at the age of 6. ha! She had so much patience and was always very kind. I never saw her angry or heard her raise her voice.

Granny was a wonderful Christian and loving grandmother. Not a birthday, Easter, or Christmas went by without her remembering each and everyone of us.

Thank you, Granny for the love and for being one of the truest examples of a real Christian that I have ever known.

And a big "thank you" to my cousin Leonard who sent me all these pictures.
