Fannie Lee Bowers, 92, died Saturday, July 4, 1998 at her Residence in Dallas, NC.

A Native of Swain County, She was a former Resident of the Alarka Community and had resided in Dallas, NC. for the past 17 years.

She was a former Member of Mount Vernon Freewill Baptist Church and a Member of Plainview Baptist Church in Dallas, NC.

She was the Wife of the late Danial T. Bowers Sr. and the Daughter of the late Ambrose and Pairalee Kirkland Ledford.
She was also preceded in death by two Daughters, Iva Sauls and Geraldine Barker, and a Son, D.T. Bowers.

Surviving are four Sons, Bobby Bowers of Bryson City, NC. Elbert Bowers of Sonoma, Calif., Neil Bowers of Ferndale, Mich. and J.W. Bowers of Lancaster, PA.; two Daughters, Vivian Earls and Trula Cloninger, Both of Dallas, NC.; 30 Grandchildren, 80 Great-Grandchildren and several Great-Great-Grandchildren.

Services were held at 11am Wednesday, July 8 at Mount Vernon Freewill Baptist Church with the Rev. John Cannon officiating.
