Funeral Services were held at 2 pm. Thursday, Dec. 6,2012 in The Chapel of Crisp Funeral Home in Bryson City. The Rev. Tim Barker will Officiate with Burial in Swain Memorial Park.
A Native of Swain County, He was the Son of the late Daniel & Fannie Ledford Bowers and the Husband of the late Cora Lee Bowers {1916-1994 # 17830780}. He was also preceded in death by a Son Keith Aaron Bowers {1957-2004 # 17831686}, Stepson's Bill Edwards & James Nelson Jones {1940-1987 # 17831498}; Stepdaughter Alda Maney; Two Brothers and Three Sisters.
He is Survived by One Daughter Judith Allen Parris & Husband Eual Ray of Bryson City; Stepson's Arvile Bowers & Lyle Edwards; Stepdaughter Helen Woodard all of Bryson City; Several Grandchildren & Great Grandchildren, Special Friends Selma, Joe & John; Two Brothers Elbert Bowers of Sonoma, California and Neal Bowers of Ferndale, Michigan, One Sister Trula Cloniger of Dallas, NC.
