Michael A. Ziarnik, 36, of 1552 Columbia Court, Elk Grove Village, Illinois,
died Saturday, March 4, 1989 as a result of an auto accident in McHenry County,
Illinois. Funeral services will be 3:30 pm Wednesday at St. John United Church
of Christ. Rev. Gerald Schrankler will officiate with burial at Evergreen
Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Ziarnik was born April 13, 1952 at Manitowoc, Wisconsin, son of Arnold and
Dorothy Mahnke Ziarnik. He was a graduate of Lincoln High School, Manitowoc,
graduating with the Class of 1970. Mr. Ziarnik attended UW Manitowoc and UW
Stevens Point. He earned a degree in Marketing from Mankato State College,
Minnesota. He was an International Sales Representative for Jensen Inc., before
co-founded in 1986 the ANMAR Corp. Mr. Ziarnik served as Executive Vice President.
He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing, boating and skiing.
Survivors include his parents, Arnold and Dorothy Ziarnik of Manitowoc; two
brothers and a sister-in-law, Scott and Jane Ziarnik of Manitowoc, Thomas Ziarnik
of Madison; a sister and brother-in-law, Sue and Mark Robertson of DePere; two
nephews, Blake Robertson and Christopher Ziarnik; a niece, Meghan Robertson; his
former spouse, Anne Cleery Ziarnik of Chicago and other relatives and friends. As
a result of an auto accident, a very special friend, Linda Skibinski also lost her
life.
Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home, 4 pm to 8 pm Tuesday and Wednesday at
the church from 2:30 pm until the hour of service.
