ADDISON NEIL WOOD

Addison N. Wood, age 72, of 1014 S. 23rd St., Manitowoc, died early Tuesday morning,
November 19, 1996, at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, November 21, 1996, at the Pfeffer
Funeral Home, Manitowoc. Officiating at the service will be Rev. Robert Meyer with
burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
He was born October 31, 1924, in Wausau, son of the late Leon and Edna Elk Wood.
He moved to Manitowoc as a child with his family and lived here since. Mr. Wood
was a veteran of the United States Army during World War II serving overseas in
the European Theatre. On October 27, 1947, he married the former Elizabeth Meneau
in Manitowoc. Mr. Wood was employed by Foley Manufacturing company for 42 years
retiring in 1989.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Wood, Manitowoc; a son, Robert J. Wood,
Manitowoc; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Vilas and Madge Wood, Milwaukee,
Alois and Elda Wood, Manitowoc, Richard and Nancy Wood, Oconto Falls; two sisters
and brothers-in-law, Pat and Roy Finley, West Virginia, Sharon and John Gallagher,
Oconto Falls; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Creighton and Arlene Meneau, Two
Rivers, Joyce and LaVern Bohm, Two Rivers, John Meneau, Shoto, Jerry and Kathy
Meneau, Two Rivers, Dorothy Reno, Mishicot, Dale and Arlane Meneau, West Bend,
Gary and Judy Meneau, Appleton, Julie and Ron Sawson, Oshkosh. Also surviving are
many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by one
sister, Barbara Schaumberg.
The family will greet relatives and friends at the Pfeffer Funeral Home from 12
Noon Thursday until the time of service.
