News has been received of the death of Driver Frank Wood[s], of the 17th Australian Army Service Corps, in Egypt. Prior to enlisting, deceased had been employed in the Traffic Department at the local railway station. It appears that Driver Wood[s] was the victim of an accident on a transport on the way to Egypt. A kick from a horse resulted in serious injuries, and it was found necessary to perform an operation from which, however, he failed to rally. His death is much regretted by many friends here.' from The Brisbane Courier 20 Oct 1915 (nla.gov.au)
