Germaine VonDrachek, 86, a former Manitowoc resident, who now
resided with her son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Cathy Nelson
of W67665 Strawberry Road, Onalaska, Wisconsin, died Thursday,
June 1, 1989 at Onalaska Care Center.
Funeral services will be 10:20 am Monday at Pfeffer Funeral Home
and 11 am at St. Paul Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Presiding at the
Mass of Christian Burial will be Rev. Ronald Reimer with burial in
Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
The former Germaine Emily Moser was born April 24, 1903 in Manitowoc,
daughter of the late Professor Frank and Anna Koutnik Moser. She
married Louis R. Nelson on April 2, 1921 at St. Boniface Catholic
Church, Manitowoc. He preceded her in death September 16, 1947. She
later married William VonDrachek on November 27, 1948, at Holy
Innocents Catholic Church, Manitowoc. He preceded her in death
January 2, 1977.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Cathy Nelson
of Onalaska; three grandchildren, Karen Holland, Christine and her
husband, David Heironimus, Robert S. and his wife, Laurie Nelson;
four great grandchildren, Justin Holland, Robert R. Nelson, Catherine
and Susan Heironimus; two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Sylvia Moser of
Milwaukee, Mrs. Ruth Moser of Manitowoc, nieces, nephews and other
relatives and friends survive. She was preceded in death by brothers
and sisters.
Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home, 4 pm to 8 pm Sunday. Prayer
service will be held at 7:45 pm led by Deacon Bill Klein.
