He attended George Washington, and Penn State. Reginald entered the U.S. Air Force 9th District just after D-Day during WWII and retired as a Lt. Colonel. He then went on to work as an electrical engineer at GE and International Harvester. He was a member of the Grace Baptist Church and belonged to many clubs.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Vassar, in 2010; a daughter Joan Vassar; a brother, Basil Vassar; and three sisters, Elizabeth Picket, Edith Vassar, and Lois Vassar.
Survivors include his daughter, Barbara Butler and her husband, James, of Waynesburg, Pa.; five grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Burial in Laurel Hill Cemetery with full military honors.
