Bern Trego of Holyoke was born February 22, 1913 in Holyoke to Alva A. and Dora Hargrove Trego. He passed away April 16, 1997 in Mesa, Arizona at the age of 84.

Bern married* Evelyn Stone on February 15, 1971 in Denver. He farmed his entire life near Holyoke.

Trego enjoyed music and was once the organist at the United Methodist Church in Holyoke. He was a member of the Elks of Apache Junction, Arizona.

Preceding him in death were his parents, brothers Wilmer and Buford and sister Helen.

Survivors include wife Evelyn of Holyoke; son Gregory B. Trego of Boulder; step-daughter Shelby Sue Conner of Iowa City, Iowa; granddaughters Jeri Been and husband Steve of Belmon, Iowa and Lynn Biver and husband Sid of Brainerd, Minnesota; grandson Sean Conner of Clarion, Iowa; great grandsons Travis and Kevin Been of Belmon, Iowa and Sean and Casey Biver of Brainerd, Minnesota; brother Douglas Trego and wife Elenor of Phoenix, Arizona; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services were scheduled for Friday, April 25 at 1 p.m. in Holyoke Memorial Park.

*NOTE: First wife was Violet G. Anderson. Thier son, Gregory B. Trego, is buried at Fort Logan National Cemetery, Memorial# 36118709.
