Gloria Metts Toler "Beloved Wife and Sister" Gloria Metts Toler died peacefully in her home following an extended illness on April 20, 2005. She was born September 1, 1945 in Macon, Georgia and was the daughter of Cecil and Jewell Metts. Gloria was a graduate of A.L. Miller High School in 1963 and attended Brigham Young University. She resided in Murray, Utah during the past seven years. Previously she was a federal employee at Warner Robins Air Force Base in Georgia, after which she worked faithfully by her husband's side in their business. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was married for 39 years and adored by her husband, Jerry Toler. Survivors include her husband, Jerry; sisters, Gail Youngblood of Murray, Cecilia Niederhauser of West Jordan, and Candace Morgan of Florida. Although she did not have any children of her own, she was a mother and friend to all of her nieces and nephews. She loved to cook and was a master chef. Gloria took great pleasure in serving others and extending her warm southern hospitality to all who knew her. She will be dearly missed. Gloria now rests in the company of angels. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 23rd, at 10:00 a.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 So. State St., Murray, Utah. The viewing will be held on Friday, April 22nd from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Saturday one hour prior to services.
