Mrs. Stevens was born in Attalla, AL on January 9, 1945 to the late Pinkney Godwin and Ada Omitene Dean. She was a 1963 graduate of Miller High School and was retired from Georgia Guard Credit Union as a head teller. Mrs. Stevens was a member of Cherokee Heights Baptist Church. She loved her family and was a very dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother.
She is survived by her loving husband of forty-seven years, William Shannon Stevens of Jones County; her daughters, Sharon Lynn (Michael) Varner of Jones County, and Tina Suzanne Stevens of Jones County; two grandsons, Michael Shannon Varner and William Aaron Varner of Jones County; cousins, Karen Lovvorn of Birmingham, AL and Sandra Green of Oxford, AL and Riley "Buddy" Lovvorn of Lebanon, OR; sister-in-law, Bonnie S. Harrell of Jones County; brother-in-law, Stanley D. Stevens of Jones County; brother-in-law, Grady Wales Roberson, Jr. of Jones County, and many nieces and nephews.
