Mabel E. Barber, 85, of Mansfield died Friday, June 29, 2001 at Fisher-Titus Hospital in Norwalk. She was born February 17, 1916, in Corbin, Kentucky, to Nathan and Minnie Bunch Setser. She was retired from Peoples Hospital where she worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Mabel was a member of the First Church of the Open Bible where she also was involved in the Women's World Fellowship.
She is survived by her sister Pauline Grieninger of Pittsburgh; her foster daughter, Linda Morris of Mansfield; three nieces Joyce, Phyllis, and Linda. She was preceded in death by her parents, Nathan and Minnie Setser; her first husband, Leslie E. Aumend in 1962; her second husband, Arland C. Barber in 1975; her brother, Willard Setser; and her foster daughter, Pauline Williams.
Friends may call at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, Sunday, July 1 from 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home Monday, July 2 at 1:00 p.m. conducted by the Rev. Robert Schonauer. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park.
