DAHLONEGA, Ga. -- Services for Ardmore native Rebekah S. Boone, 91, were at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2005, at Banister Funeral Home in Dahlonega with the Rev. Jerry Raynor officiating. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 29, 2005, at Rose Hill Cemetery in Ardmore.
Mrs. Boone died on Saturday, Dec. 24, 2005 at a Dahlonega convalescent center following an extended illness. She was the daughter of George and Toy Mayhew Selvidge.
She was a former resident of Ardmore and Healdton where she was a member and Sunday school teacher at Healdton First Baptist Church. She was a former school teacher. After moving to Lumpkin County in 1996, she became a member of Long Branch Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Dan Boone; her parents; and two brothers, George Selvidge Jr. and William Selvidge.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Rebekah and Paul Patten, Dahlonega; grandchildren, Jason and Yvette Patten, Oakwood, Ga., Paula Patten, Oakwood, Ga.; great-grandchildren, Stephanie Patten and Joseph Patten; and other relatives.
Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.
