Pennsylvania German Pioneers, Vol I. Peter and Maria married in 1735 in Lebanon Co., Pennsylvania or possibly 1738 in Berke Co. Pennsylvania. In the 1730s, he married Maria Margaretha Waschenbach. It is believed that Peter and Margaret had ten children. At some point, Peter moved to Maryland, where his son, Henry (Johann Heinrich) lived with his family.

"Here rests in God, Peter Schloszer. He was 1st born in 1710 on 20 January and died in (the) year (of) Christ in 1790 on 8 January. His age was 80 years, 11 months and 3 days. When you awaken the dead on that day so also reach out your hand to my grave."
