These are just some of the things we will fondly remember about Helena. This was Babcia's Eulogy:

* She never held a grudge
* She loved to garden, especially growing flowers from seeds
* She shared her flowers generously
* She would pray Novena's for anyone she thought needed help
* She came here from Poland in 1957
* She raised Teresa for 14 years while her husband Bohdan Sawka saved money to sponsor his family to join him in the Untied States
* She was very quick witted
* She would put other people before herself to make sure they were happy
* She loved Pope John Paul and believed, like he did, how miraculous The Blessed Mother is
* She made many pilgrimages to Cary Ohio to visit the different churches and pray to The Blessed Mother
* She loved to do counter cross stitch and donated many of her projects to various churches for their alters
* She always looked at life as a gift
* She loved to hear laughter and to see people smile
* She taught us not to judge others because you never know what problems they have in their heart
* She was so excited one birthday when all Kenny's family bought her lottery tickets. She loved scratching them off and was so surprised that everyone thought enough about her to give her something she enjoyed so much
* She loved spending time with Kenny's family because she saw Matt, Brian, and Mark as her grandchildren also
* She loved to cook Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas dinner because she knew she would be with her family and her home would be full of love
* She loved going to Senior Citizens because she made wonderful friendships
* She taught us life lessons by telling us stories instead of lectures
* She loved to be around children and animals
* She loved to tell jokes
* She loved to go to Greek Town Casino (she always called it "The Greek Casino") with Senior Citizens and play the slot machines
* She gave compassion to ALL of God's creatures
* She never lost her faith in God, Jesus, and The Blessed Mother
* She was so proud to become an American Citizen
* She always prayed for the troops who protect us. She even taped an American Flag and a Yellow Ribbon onto The Blessed Mother for their safety
* She always treated people with respect
* She always looked for the good in everyone
