Daughter of J.R. Mills and Lillian May (McClellan) Mills. She was married to Bradbury Robinson in 1910. From this union was born at least Bradbury Robinson III. He went on to be an All American Football Player at Minnesota. Four years into their marriage she passed away June 21, 1914 at Missouri Baptist Sanitarium, St Louis, Missouri. Listed cause was mysterious wasting disease. Her husband took her death very badly and was said to have went off to World War I to get himself killed. He was said to have kept her picture on his desk the rest of his life.

Luckily he survived and met his second wife (Yvonne Dewachter)in France.

Melissa was buried June 24, 1914 at Bellefontaine Cemetery, St Louis, Missouri.
